Forging machine refers to a machine that uses hammering and other methods to make a metal material in a plastic state into a workpiece with a certain shape and size, and change its physical properties. The forging hammer forged in the forging machine is very similar to the press machine (especially the forging press) in terms of processing performance, but as the forging hammer of the former, the reaction force generated by its processing is not borne by the bed, but by the foundation of the machine, which is fundamentally different from the press of the latter.
This structural difference will be further evident in the case of anvil separation type forging hammers, which are often used for free forging. In short, hammering the workpiece at high speed with a very heavy forging hammer end will produce strong shock vibration.
